An SEO company in Tampa that learns your business first

BuiltRight Digital is a website, SEO and AI search studio in Tampa, Florida. We work with businesses in any industry, here in Tampa, across Florida and elsewhere in the United States. We don't arrive with a fixed package. Every plan starts from how your business actually works: what you sell, who buys it, and what is already in place. We don't impose systems on your business that aren't the perfect fit.

We are almost like consultants that actually implement the solutions.
Our founder

That matters for search, because search rarely fails on its own. A page that shows up but loads slowly, says the wrong thing or makes it hard to get in touch still loses the visitor. So we look at the whole path, from the search result to the moment someone reaches out.

What does an SEO company do?

An SEO company makes your business easier for search engines to find, read and trust, so that when someone searches for what you offer, your pages are a clear and credible answer. Today that includes AI answers. Google's AI results and assistants such as ChatGPT build their answers from web pages, so the same groundwork serves both. For us the work usually covers six things.

  • Reading where you stand. How Google, Maps and AI assistants see your business today, from your Search Console data to what the assistants say when they are asked about you.
  • Fixing what is in the way. Page titles and descriptions, the one address Google should treat as each page's real one, a sitemap search engines can read, pages that work well on a phone, and nothing hidden from search by accident.
  • Writing what people ask. Pages that answer the questions buyers actually search for, in plain words, starting from the questions Google itself shows for those searches.
  • Saying who you are in a way machines can read. Structured data (a standard format search engines read) that names your business, where it is and what it does, plus an llms.txt file, a plain-text summary written for AI assistants.
  • Your Google Business Profile. For a local business, map results depend mostly on the profile, its reviews and how close the searcher is, so we set up the profile and the website to agree.
  • Checking before anything goes live. Changes go to a private preview first and run through automated checks on titles, addresses, the sitemap and the structured data before they reach the live site.

Exactly what is in scope is agreed for your project. Some businesses need all six; some need two or three done properly.

How we work with a Tampa business

It starts with onboarding: a conversation about what you are looking for, what you sell, and what is and isn't working. Then comes the access handoff, where you give us access to the platforms we need, such as your website, Search Console, analytics and Google Business Profile, so we work from your real data rather than guesses. We meet throughout to keep the plan aligned with what you want.

The first piece of real work is finding the weak points in your current presence that are holding you back. If a new website is part of the plan, planning starts right away; once we have everything we need, we build it and go through as many rounds of previews as it takes for you to be happy with it. See how we design and build websites.

On search itself, we make changes in batches and then hold still. Google has to revisit and re-read each page before anything can change, so changing things every week only makes it impossible to tell what worked. We measure, tell you where you stand, and then plan the next batch.

What most agencies get wrong

Most other businesses are too traditional and set in their ways in implementing systems that supposedly "universally work" and don't put in the effort to truly understand the ins and outs of the business (like a consultant would) and optimize OUR strategy for their objectives. Most of the time businesses optimize the business for the agency's pre-decided strategy.
Our founder

Here is what doing it the other way round looks like on our side.

  • The business comes before the keywords. The questions a page answers come from what you sell and who buys it, then get checked against what people really search for.
  • We ask the assistants. We ask AI assistants about the businesses we work with, see what they get wrong or leave out, and fix what can be fixed on the site.
  • We check our work before it ships. A missing title or a broken sitemap is caught on a private preview, before Google ever sees it.
  • We say what we don't know. When something can't be measured yet, we tell you so rather than fill the gap with a guess.
  • We never sell placement. Rankings and AI answers are decided by other companies, so we don't promise them. SEO is effort-based work, and our terms say so.

How much does it cost to hire an SEO company in Tampa?

We don't publish prices, and we would be wary of any agency that names a figure before it understands your business. What SEO costs depends on things like these:

  • Where your website starts from. Whether it can be fixed as it is, or needs rebuilding first.
  • How much needs to be found. The number of locations, services and pages that each need their own answer.
  • Your Google Business Profile. Whether it is set up, accurate and verified, or has to be put right.
  • How crowded your category is. Some searches have far more businesses competing for them than others.
  • How much has to be written. Pages that answer real questions take real writing.

We quote after we understand the business. The fee, what it covers and how it is billed are set in your signed agreement, and no figure is binding until it is. We are the right fit for businesses where a single new client is valuable, because then the work does not need a flood of extra visitors to pay for itself.

How to choose an SEO agency in Florida

Search for SEO agencies in Florida and you will find long ranked lists. A list can't tell you which agency fits your business. These questions can.

  • Do they ask about your business before they pitch? An agency that proposes a package on the first call is fitting your business to its strategy, not the other way round.
  • Do they promise a position? No one controls where Google or an AI assistant puts you. A promised ranking is a reason to walk away.
  • Who owns the work? Your domain, your content and your accounts should stay yours. Our terms say we never hold a client's domain or content as leverage, and that a client receives a static copy of their site when an engagement ends.
  • Will they show you what changed? Ask how they report, where each figure comes from, and whether they tell you when something can't be measured yet.
  • Do they cover AI answers as well as search results? People now ask AI assistants as well as search engines, so the setup should serve both.
  • Can you open their real work? Ask for live websites you can visit yourself, not screenshots. Ours start with OLLIN Salon's site.

Is SEO still worth it in 2026?

For a business that depends on being found, yes, but the job has changed. AI answers have not replaced search; they are built from the same web pages search engines read, so a clear, fast, well-organised website is still the foundation. What has changed is that being understood now matters as much as being listed. An assistant has to know who you are, where you are and what you do before it can mention you.

It is worth it when a new client is valuable to you and you can give the work time. It is not a fit if you need a result within a few weeks, or if one new client would not cover the work. Search takes time, and anyone who gives you a date is guessing.

Search, websites and content under one roof

Search brings people to a page, and the page has to be worth arriving at. That is why we also design and build websites, set up booking and lead capture, and work with our content studio, Crystal Hook Media, whose cinematographer runs its social strategy and shoots its film, photography and social content. In our founder's words, We cover the entire funnel.

If search is the only piece you need, see SEO and AI search for how that work is set up on its own.

What results look like

Our founder's view is that results encompass not just traffic metrics but also visual quality. We hold ourselves to both: what changed in search, with where each figure came from and when it was measured, and work you are proud to put your name on.

We don't publish a client's numbers without that client's permission, and we won't show you a figure we can't source. What you can see is the work itself. OLLIN Salon's website holds three locations to one standard, each with its own page set up for Google, Maps and AI answers.

Questions

What does an SEO company do?

It makes your business easier for search engines and AI assistants to find, read and trust. That covers how your website is built and written, the structured data that tells machines who you are, your Google Business Profile, and checking where you stand over time. The exact scope is agreed for your project.

How much does an SEO company in Tampa cost?

It depends on where your website starts from, how many locations and services need to be found, the state of your Google Business Profile and how crowded your category is. We don't publish prices: we quote after we understand your business, and the fee is set in your signed agreement.

How long does SEO take to work?

Longer than most people hope, and no one can honestly give you a date. Google has to revisit and re-read each page before anything changes, so we make changes in batches, hold still, measure, and tell you where you stand at each step.

Is SEO still worth it in 2026?

Yes, for a business where a new client is valuable and that can give it time. AI answers are built from the same web pages search engines read, so a clear, well-organised website is still the foundation; the setup now has to serve AI assistants as well as search results.

Can an SEO company promise first-page rankings?

No. Rankings and AI answers are decided by Google and the AI companies, and they change without notice. Anyone promising a position is promising something they do not control. We commit to the work and to an honest read of where you stand.

Do you do local SEO and Google Business Profile in Tampa?

Yes. For a local business, map results depend mostly on the Google Business Profile, its reviews and how close the searcher is, so we set up the profile and the website to agree on who you are, where you are and what you do.

Do I need a new website before doing SEO?

Not always. Sometimes the site you have can be fixed; sometimes rebuilding makes more sense than patching. Finding that out is part of the first look at your business, and because we build websites as well as doing SEO, we have no reason to push you either way.

Do you only work with businesses in Tampa?

No. Our studio is in Tampa, Florida, and we work with businesses in any industry, in Florida and elsewhere in the United States.
